An international poster has just been released for Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. We got such an overwhelming response from fans regarding the extended trailer a couple weeks ago, that we had to follow up. The latest poster features Percy summoning the powers of his father in what looks like a climactic scene from the film. ( poster inside )

| Rachel McAdams talks about Lindsay in Vogue |
[16 Dec 2009|10:44pm] |
In the past few years, a quiet yet remarkably talented actress by the name of Rachel McAdams has worked her way to the silver screen, and now she's also made her way to the cover of Vogue. Posing in a flower printed red Dolce & Gabbana dress and matching red stilettos, the “Sherlock Holmes” star graces the January 2010 issue. In the mag, which hits stands on December 22, the actress talks working with Lindsay Lohan, her fascination with soap operas and much more.
In 2004, Rachel's career jump-started when she starred in “Mean Girls” playing queen bee Regina George alongside Lindsay. “I just remember marveling about how much [Lindsay] knew as an actor, how much she understood," Rachel recalled. "She did very few takes and had this naturalness to her. And beyond that, I was 26 at the time. I’d be asked, ‘Where do you go out?'"
And while the actress who made "Boo, you whore" a common catchphrase among teenage girls, Rachel reveals that she wasn’t anything like her narcissistic character. "My mother never put an emphasis on looks. She let us grow up on our own time line. She never forced any beauty regimen into my world." In fact, mom didn’t even put a heavy emphasis on shaving either, which often made a high-school-aged Rachel the subject of jokes about hairy legs. "'Why didn’t you tell me?'" she remembered asking her mom later on. rest of it at the source

| Shahrukh pulls an "I Am Sam" with "My Name Is Khan" |
[16 Dec 2009|07:43pm] |

In follow up to this post.

The official trailer has been released for Shahrukh Khan's "My Name Is Khan," where he plays an Indian man with Asperger's syndrome, post 9/11.
It looks good - and it looks serious. SRK might have actual talent to match his good looks. Color me surprised. (To be honest, he and Saif Ali Khan could read the phone book and I'd be happy as a clam - but even I know this doesn't make him talented.)

| Priest ENRAGED by Glee Hiatus! |
[17 Dec 2009|10:37pm] |
Father Alexander Santora happened to catch the pilot of Fox's "Glee" - and he was hooked.
"It's ushering in something upbeat and vital even if it's a little kooky," says the New Jersey priest. "I even preached about it one Sunday, highlighting the importance of belonging to a group as a way to shape one's self-esteem and identity."
Father Santora isn't the only one who's been charmed by the energetic "Glee." Just Tuesday it scored four Golden Globe nominations.
But anyone inclined to tune in to "Glee" Wednesday and check out the buzz will need some patience. ( he's not that mad )

Dec 15: Taylor Momsen walks around the Chelsea set of 'Gossip Girl' in NYC
 ( More.. )
Josh Schwartz talks to TVGuide.com about Jenny's character.

TVGuide.com: What are you gearing towards in the season's second half? Josh Schwartz: You're really going to see a real emotional arc from Chuck [Ed Westwick]. I think Jenny [Taylor Momsen] and Chuck are really going to be driving a lot of story as we move into the back half of the season.
TVGuide.com: Jenny and Eric (Connor Paolo) called a truce in the last episode. Will that actually stick? Schwartz: They've called a truce with each other, but Jenny's troubles are just beginning. She's still very much a teenage girl, she's grown up with these kids who are older than her and always wanted to be a part of that, but she's going to find out that she's not quite as adult and grown up as she thinks she is.
TVGuide.com: Do you see any futures episodes of plot lines that will cause this kind of controversy again? Schwartz: Keep your eye on little Jenny Humphrey. Source.

| Idol Kris Allen Says Adam Lambert is Finally Showing His True Colors |
[16 Dec 2009|10:01pm] |
Shocked over Adam Lambert's recent performance antics? Don't be, says American Idol winner Kris Allen, because there is more to come.
"Yeah, that's who he is," Allen told the press at last Friday's Z100's Jingle Ball at New York's Madison Square Garden. "Obviously, he couldn't do that stuff on Idol. And so you're getting to see the real Adam now."
Lambert caused an uproar for his sexually-charged performance on the American Music Awards last month, which led ABC to cancel his scheduled New Year's Eve appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live and his performance on Good Morning America. He was allowed to appear on The View.
"I thought it was Adam being Adam," Allen said of Lambert's AMA performance. "I'm going to get a shirt that just says, 'That's Adam.' "
As for Lambert, he says he has found a way to address the controversies through his music.
"[The single 'Whataya Want From Me'] is a great way for me to say to the public, 'What do you guys want from me? I'm doing my best,' " he said. "And the best lyric in the song is 'I'm a freak but thanks for lovin' me. 'Cause you're doing it perfectly.' "
The Idol runner-up just hopes fans don't stop loving his music. "I think that's my biggest fear," Lambert admitted.

| TV.com's Top 10 Annoying Characters On TV |
[16 Dec 2009|08:59pm] |
|
10) Jim Halpert and Pam Beesly, The Office They didn't use to be annoying. Oh how we loved them once. We awwwed at their doe-eyed budding romance, guffawed at their cutely sarcastic asides, even swooned at their regular-folks good looks. But now? The two characters have just gotten so smug, haven't they? Jim's little eye rolls to the cameras and Pam's bordering-on-cruel humoring of Michael's crazy ideas—it all just seems so mean-spirited now. We get it, Jim and Pam. You're cute and young and have found love, while everyone else in the office is old and weird and alone. But you know what? We like those weirdos a lot more than you two these days. Heck, we even like Ryan more than you two. And we really don't enjoy Ryan. The writers need to write more scenes, or whole episodes even, where Jim and Pam prove to be just as silly and clueless as the other characters, or we may never like them again. ( Read More... )
